Planning a Surface Update: Countertops, Cabinets and Tubs in Knoxville
Updated: 4 days ago
An update does not have to start with a new kitchen layout or a full bathroom renovation. Refinishing can change the look of suitable existing surfaces. Choosing where to start is easier when you separate the surfaces you want to keep from the problems that need repair.
Countertops: Change the Surface Finish
Countertop resurfacing applies a new finish to a suitable existing counter. TN Resurfacing Pros offers stone-inspired options through a multi-step epoxy system. We review the material, edges, existing finish and visible damage before recommending a scope.
Send photos of the whole counter and close-ups of worn areas. Finish samples help you compare the options with your cabinets, backsplash and lighting. Most countertop projects take about three to four hours and are completed in one day, followed by the required curing period.
Cabinets: Keep a Layout That Works
Cabinet refinishing is worth considering when the cabinet construction and kitchen layout still meet your needs. We assess the material and existing coating, discuss suitable finish choices and explain preparation. Most cabinet projects take three to four days.
Tubs and Showers: Assess Before Replacing
Worn coatings, dated colors and some minor surface damage may be suitable for refinishing. Leaks, movement or structural damage require separate attention. The assessment helps determine whether keeping the fixture in place is a practical option.
Build a Clear Project Plan
Start with the surface that matters most to you. Share photos, your location, the finish you have in mind and your preferred timing. We will explain the scope and provide a written estimate. For combined projects, we also discuss the sequence of work and access to each room.
Application and curing are separate stages. Follow the instructions supplied for your coating before cleaning, using or placing items on it.
